Arsenal fans have every reason to be excited this summer after fresh reports claims Arsene Wenger is determined to sign Monaco superstar Kylian Mbappe.
France outlet L’Equipe claimed Monaco rejected Arsenal’s initial £87m offer, but TMW have reported that Wenger is still desperate to bring Mbappe to the Emirates this summer.
Other sources claim Wenger – who just signed a new two-year deal, will use a huge part of his £150million war chest as well as his French connections to secure the signature of the sensational forward.
Mbappe netted 16 times in Ligue One during this campaign for Monaco, but it is also his performances in the Champions League that have caught the eye of several clubs around Europe, including Real Madrid with the youngster bagging 6 goals which took his team to the semi-finals of the competition.
“Why would I play less? [If he moved away from Monaco]. I will have the time to think about all that, but no, I am not afraid of leaving.”
The youngster ended his comment by saying he’s not afraid to move to another club this summer which will come as a boost to interested club.
Mbappe has also publicly rejected advances from Manchester United, citing their unattractive football style under boss Jose Mourinho as his reason.
