Just four days after the end of the season, the Premier League’s biggest clubs will be able to strengthen their squads for the 2018/19 campaign.
The transfer window will open on Friday, May 17 for clubs in the Premier League which will give Arsenal less time to sort out her managerial problems.
Arsene Wenger revealed he will step down from the helms of affairs since taking over the club 22 years ago and a host of names have been linked with a move to fill the vacant position.
This marks a change on previous years when the window would open on June 1.
The Premier League has voted to move the transfer deadline forward, from August 31 to August 9, so that all squads will be confirmed before the season starts on August 11.
But Fifa rules state that each country must have one transfer window which lasts 12 weeks, so the start date has also been brought forward.
