The Daily Mail claims Arsenal are working round the clock in signing a replacement for Arsene Wenger who earlier revealed he will be leaving the Emirate Stadium this summer after 22 years in charger.

Mikel Arteta, Patrick Vieira and young Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann, 30, are all due to be interviewed for the Arsenal job with a decision expected to be made in the next two weeks and announced before the World Cup starts.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri remains in the discuDatessions, though there is a mood to appoint a younger manager and attempt to establish another long-term dynasty rather than move to a model where the manager changes every two or three years.

Among key decision-makers it is thought that Allegri could do an excellent job in the short term but the Arsenal board is edging towards appointing someone who will be more integrated with the club in the long term.
