Former Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante has identified former Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette as the key to stopping Arsenal on Sunday.
The two players both represent France on the international stage, and played against each other on multiple occasions in Ligue 1.
Speaking to the press following Chelsea’s 6-0 win against Qarabag in the Champions League, ex-Caen player Kante said: “In France, he was a very good goalscorer who scored for many, many years and he will be a threat for Sunday’s game. We have to be ready to stop him but the most important thing is the team and we need to win.”
Lacazette joined the Gunners in the summer for a club-record fee of £52m, and the 26-year-old striker has adapted to life in the Premier League quickly, scoring within two minutes of his debut against Leicester City, and scoring again last Saturday against Bournemouth in a 3-0 win.
