Following reports linking Bayer Leverkusen hitman Javier Hernandez with a move to the Emirates, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has now revealed he has no plans of signing the striker.
Its no secret Wenger is keen to recruit a top notch centre forward to take his team to another level, the striker popularly known as Chicharito has been in outstanding form since moving to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and was understood to have caught Wenger’s attention.

“Danny Welbeck is coming back, Alexis Sanchez is back, we have [Olivier] Giroud, we have [Theo] Walcott, so you would not understand how I could not play Giroud and play Hernandez,” Wenger told a press conference ahead of the club’s FA Cup fourth round clash with Burnley. “We have quality and the number of players we need.”
The Mexico international who was recently crowned player of the year in his Country has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season, firing in 21 goals in just 29 appearances for Leverkusen since moving in August in a £7.3m deal from Manchester United.
Should the 27-year-old continue in this rich vein of form, he could end up scoring over 40 goals in his debut season in Germany.
