Premier giants Arsenal and Liverpool will face a big tousle over who will acquire the services of Porto wonder-sensation Diogo Queiros, with both clubs believed to be keen in hiring his services.
The wonderkid has been scouted as a potential high-performer and is deemed to survive the rigours of the Premier League despite only being fronted for the Portugal outfit in just their youth games and B teams.
Queiro, 19, is expected to make a senior team debut soon but according to Portuguese outlet Correio da Manhã, Arsenal and Liverpool are determined to ramp up deals with Porto and are determined to bring him to the Premier League.
Both clubs will compete to sign him this summer, though the youngster is still under contract at Porto until 2021.
However, if they [Liverpool and Arsenal] are willing to land him at either of their camps, they must be willing to cough up at least £22 million to trigger his release clause.
Arsenal’s transactions this summer has heightened since the arrival of Unai Emery and the acquisitions of big names, and Liverpool are no exception after recently acquiring defensive midfielder Fabinho.
However, Porto have hinted that they are willing to listen to offers for the teenager if suitors’ bid starts around £13 million.
Whether both clubs will see that as a lucrative deal remains inconclusive.
