Arsenal officially confirmed the sale of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to Juventus for a reported fee of £10m plus add-ons.

Szczesny spent the last two seasons on loan to AS Roma before signing a four-year-deal with the Old Lady.

He fell out-of-favour under Arsene Wenger during the summer of 2015, and he was therein loaned out to the Giallorossi, where he enjoyed the best spell of his career.

Initial suggestions were Szczesny could play backup to Petr Cech for the goalkeeping position with David Ospina eyeing a move to a fresh club overseas.

The Pole notched 181 appearances during his eight-year spell in the Gunners first-team, and his departure may weaken the goalkeeping department with Ospina also pushing for his desire move.
