Arsenal have joined Liverpool and Chelsea in the hunt for Barcelona’s No 2 goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to reports in Catalonia.

The Dutch international moved to the Nou Camp as a replacement for Manchester City-bound Claudio Bravo in 2016.

But he has failed to nail down a starting spot and has been mainly used in Copa del Rey matches, where he has impressed.

Should Los Blancos fail in their bid to land the Brazil No 1, they could turn their attentions to Thibaut Courtois, leaving Chelsea in need of a new goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, Unai Emery is believed to have asked Arsenal to sign a replacement for Petr Cech.

Cillessen is not desperate to leave Barcelona, but would be open to a move should a top club come along.

The Dutchman was Holland’s No 1 at the 2014 World Cup and Louis van Gaal famously replaced him with Tim Krul before the quarter-final penalty shoot-out.
