Arsenal have handed attacking midfielder and England youth international Trae Coyle his first professional contract, as reported by Arsenal’s official website.
Arsenal remains one of the best breeding grounds where talents are developed and transformed into professional and Coyle knows he is in the right club – he joined Arsenal as a nine year old in the May of 2009 and he is currently one of the best attacking midfield prospect at the club.
He spent some time at Charlton before joining Arsenal but his decision to play for Arsenal was informed by his parent support for the club. Coyle parent are know to be diehard Arsenal fans but i’m sure they now belong to the Wenger-Out bandwagon.
The youngster revealed how excited he was after putting pen to paper. “I want to be the best I can, win as many trophies as I can and just be remembered.”
He has featured scantily for the u23 side of Arsenal but he is a regular starter for the u18 side. He scored three goals in four games and two of his goals came from the penalty spot.
Coyle is now second to Xavier Amaechi, who also signed his first professional contract for Arsenal but he is aware that he has to constantly be at the top of his game to break into the first team of Arsenal.
“A lot. Work hard every day. I think the main thing is giving them a reason to pick you or to involve you, that’s probably the biggest thing.”
The upcoming star will certainly take a cue from Alex Iwobi, and Maitland-Niles as the latest academy graduates that are playing for the Gunners senior team.
