Rob Holding has signed a contract extension at Arsenal, the club have announced.
Arsenal did not confirm the length of the new “long-term” deal, with his previous terms having been due to expire in 2020.
The England youth international, signed from Bolton for £2million before the 2016-17 season, has made 23 competitive appearances for the first-team this season and has shown signs of building on the promise he showed in his debut campaign.
Holding’s finest hour since joining the club came in the 2017 FA Cup Final where, in tandem with Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal, he held then-champions Chelsea to just a single goal as Arsenal claimed a surprise win at Wembley.
Arsenal said in a statement that they “look forward to his continued contribution in the coming years.”
