Arsenal first team coach Neil Banfield has hinted on a move by the club for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, according to Ibtimes.
Banfield was questioned about the Gunners reported interested in Gonzalo Higuain, the coach refused to confirm nor deny reports linking the striker to the Emirates but revealed that the occasions he attended Napoli’s game in the past, he wasn’t there to watch the Argentine striker claiming the striker is not a player who needs to be scouted.
“Of course not,” he said, when asked if he came to see Higuain in the past. “There are two categories of players: those to be observed and which ones to buy.
“For Higuain, you do not need to scout or to prepare a report. The whole world knows about him. You just have to decide whether to prepare a bid to go and buy, or not.”
“I cannot say that it is true, and I cannot say that it is false. What is certain, it is that Arsenal have liked Higuain since he was at Real Madrid and Wenger wanted to take him to London at that time,” Banfield concluded.
