Arsenal are interested in signing AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang, according to reports.
The striker who recently claimed we were interested in signing him in 2012 is being linked with us again. He has been in fine form this season and it is not surprising that the press is linking him with other clubs.
The French striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent seasons and it is believed he still has a lot of admirers in England top flight. We are believed to be one of his admirers, having been snubbed by the player four years ago in favor of a move to Milan.
although, the striker has been inconsistent at best since he joined the Italian club and only began to find his feet recently. Now that he is doing well, Calcio Mercato via the Daily Star are claiming Wenger is still interested in his services and we are preparing a January bid.
The report also added that a bid of €35m will be enough to lure the striker to the Emirates. However, it also claimed Milan will not lose the forward without a fight and will block our attempt to sign the striker as they are unwilling to sell.
How the report managed to come up with the player’s price tag when his club is unwilling to sell is mind bugglin, isn’t it?
We would like to think this report just stems up from the player’s recent admission that he has ambitions to play in the Premier League one day.
“The Premier League could’ve been the right football for me and I hope one day it will be.”
“Playing there is my dream as it suits my style of play, Niang told reporters in Italy.
Niang has scored three goals in seven appearances for Milan this season.
