Proven EPL Star Confirms He’ll Speak To Wenger And Join Arsenal

Arsenal fans will have something to rejoice about following recent reports that proven Premier League star will be open to a move to Arsenal should the opportunity present itself.

Former Arsenal defensive midfielder Gilberto Silva has revealed he will love to return to the Emirates in the future, according to the Daily Express.

The midfielder who spent six years with Arsenal between 2002 an 2008 revealed in an interview that he is eyeing a move back to the North London club albeit as a coach.

Arsenal have seen two of their former stars Thierry Henry and Fredrik Ljunberg return to the club on coaching capacities and Silva is hoping to be next in line as he targets his coaching badges.

“I will do my badges and I want to learn more and more about football not just on the field but off it,” Gilberto said speaking exclusively to 888sport.

I haven’t spoken to Arsene or someone at the club about working together but if something happens of course for my feelings for the club I would think carefully in a very good way.”

Gilberto played 170 league games for Arsenal in his time at the club and he was part of the Gunners invisible in 2003/2004 and he won a Barclay’s Premier League title and two FA cup trophies with the Gunners.

After leaving Arsenal in 2008, Silva had spells with Panathinaikos, Gremio, Atletico Mineiro. He also spent two years without a club before he finally retired from active football in December last year.
