Arsenal are expecting to name their new manager before the World Cup starts on June 14th, according to the BBC.
Arsene Wenger has called time on his career in charge of the Gunners after 22 years, meaning the club are in the market for a new manager for the first time this millennium and they want to name their new boss before mid-June.
The transfer window opens earlier than usual this summer after the Premier League clubs voted to have the window close before the new season starts and as such, Arsenal need to have their new manager in place to start working on recruitment.
The World Cup also complicates matters further as there will a large section of the summer where a number of high profile players will be on international duty and as such, deals are unlikely to happen for them, so getting a manager in place in as soon as possible is vital.
Numerous names have been linked with the Arsenal job and it appears that we won’t need to wait too long to find out who’ll be given the task of replacing Wenger.
