Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry has left the coaching role which he was appointed into at the end of last season.
The club had offered the former striker the chance to work as assistant manager of the U18s but Wenger personally overruled that decision.
According to the Telegraph, Wenger informed Henry that the U18 job must be full time, hence the former striker would have to leave his job as a Sky pundit if he wants to be part of the U18 coaching staff.
The Gunners legend then offered to work for the club u18s for free while still working as a Sky Pundit but Wenger turned down the offer. Wenger also turned down an offer from Henry to work as a striker coach for the club without any wages.
The club was believed to be happy with the idea of Henry working at the Emirates but the final decision was left to Wenger.
According to the report, many at Arsenal believe the excuse given to Henry by Wenger was just a reason not to keep the legend at the club as it is believed Wenger doesn’t want anyone that would be a threat to his position at the Emirates.
Henry is now searching for other clubs where he would be able to combine a coaching role with his commitment as a Sky pundit.
