Everton are readying a £30m bid for Arsenal’s Theo walcott, according to reports.
Walcott who was recently linked with a move to West Ham wants to stay at Arsenal to fight for a place in Wenger’s starting xi despite his chances of doing so looking slim as the club are looking to sign either Thomas Lemar or Riyad Mahrez.
According to the Mirror via The Daily Cannon, Ronald Koeman is keen on Walcott, having identified a wide man as his next target.
The Dutch tactician is also looking at Leicester City’s Demarai Grai but Walcott’s experience would make him a better option.
Wenger may be open to selling the winger, considering he has failed to live up to his potential all these years but it remains to be seen whether the player would be tempted to leave the Emirates.
Everton are reportedly prepared to take their spending above the £100m mark by shelling out £30m on the England international.
At 28, Walcott is already getting past his peak, meaning this could be the best opportunity to get a huge transfer fee from his sale and £30m for him will be good business for Arsenal
Walcott is a fan favorite at the Emirates but many Gooners won’t be too sad to see him leave especially if we get one of Mahrez or Lemar who can consistently impress throughout the season.
