Inter Milan are prepared to offer a €50m bid for Alexis Sanchez when the summer transfer window opens, according to reports.
Sanchez is yet to extend his Arsenal contract which expires in 2018 after several months of negotiation with the club. Reports claim he is demanding a huge increase to his current deal but Arsenal are unwilling to pay him as much as he is demanding.
The refusal of both parties to find an agreement has thrown his future into doubt and a host of clubs are watching his situation closely with the hope of making a summer move if the impasse continues. One of those clubs is Inter Milan.
According to Corriere Dello Sport via Tribal Football, Inter are keen on the forward and are lining up a €50m bid to lure him to the San Siro.
Inter Milan are now being financed by wealthy Chinese owners who are keen to revamp their squad and the report claims they are prepared to offer the player a salary package worth €5m a year.
This sounds ridiculous to me because Sanchez currently earns way more than €5m and there is no reason the forward will want to take a pay cut to join Inter.
Obviously this is pure lazy journalism from the Italian media just to sell papers. I don’t think Inter Milan despite their new financial power are strong enough to compete with Arsenal financially. So therefore the chances of this move happening is very slim if not impossible.
