Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is set to raid Arsenal this summer, according to reports.
The incoming Manchester City boss is preparing to build his squad in his own image and has identified three Arsenal stars as his target.
According to football insider via the Metro, Pep Guardiola has identified Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta as players he wants to bring to the Etihad this summer.
Guardiola is a fan of Aaron Ramsey and wants to tempt the midfielder away from the Emirates. Ramsey has mostly been deployed out of position by Wenger and Guardiola could promise the midfielder a position in central midfield at the Etihad in order to tempt him.
Another Gunners midfielder Chamberlain is being linked with a number of top Premier League clubs and it is believed that the incoming City boss is highly impressed with the winger’s versatility. Guardiola is a fan of versatile players and Chamberlain is one that has reportedly caught the eyes of the Spanish tactician.
Mikel Arteta, 34, is getting closer to the end of his career and could be released by Arsenal this summer. Guardiola is keen on luring the midfielder to the Etihad but in a coaching capacity.
Guardiola is prepared to offer Arteta the chance to become a member of his back-room staff should he retire this summer.
