Manchester City are keeping tabs on Arsenal forward Theo Walcott, according to a different league.
The forward is reportedly unhappy with his bench role at Arsenal and is prepared to consider offers from other clubs should his situation not change before the end of the season.
The forward has been linked with a number of clubs in the country and now it appears there is a new contender for the forward’s signature. London Evening Standard claims Pep Guardiola have told Manchester City to keep tracks of development regarding the winger’s future.
It is claimed that Guardiola is a fan of pacey wingers and the Spaniard rates Walcott highly.
Arsene Wenger revealed a forthnight ago that the midfielder’s future at the Emirates is far from certain, giving interested clubs hope that Walcott could be up for sale this summer.
The French man said: “I don’t know yet, when asked if Walcott will leave.
“I’m not in transfer mode at the moment, but I think he has gone through a bad spell. He has responded very well, because he said: ‘Okay, I will work harder and more.’
“Even when he comes on now, you see he is motivated and focused. Let’s see how well he finishes the season now.
“You have the emergence of a guy like Iwobi. But the players that did not play [against West Brom]: Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and I forget a few that weren’t even in the squad.
