SIX Very IMPORTANT Things Learnt From 3-0 Victory Over Man Utd

1. First half goals still our strength

Arsenal very early in the first half of the clash against Manchester United, took the game to their bitter rivals and got rewarded with two goals.

Last season, one of our strengths was our ability to go in front against our opponents before the half time whistle; and the game against the Red Devils cannot overemphasize the need for us always get the job done very early into the game if we are to win the Premier League title.

2. Clean-sheet made the difference

We have to be honest with ourselves. Arsenal have not done really well defensively in all competitions this season.

If we had defended horribly and allowed Louis van Gaal and his men score two goals on the day, we would have though emerged winners but would still remain 3rd on the League table. And so, keeping clean sheets should be something the lads should fight for as much as scoring.

3. Alexis would become an Arsenal legend

Does anyone have an opinion to counter this statement? ……. I certainly don’t think so.

Alexis plays the game with the entirety of his heart; he’d take Cech’s place just to be on the pitch to help his team if you’d allow him.

And with Alexis’ scoring boots back on, Thierry Henry would be scared that his record at Arsenal is now seriously being pursued.

4. Ozil can and should score more

Mesut is well known for setting up others even when he has a clear chance at it. It’s what he is built and trained for.

But you’d agree with me that he should more often go for goal himself, especially when he has the chance to, rather than lay it on to someone who may well miss the opportunity given.

Plus, you also have the confidence and moral boost that goal scoring gives you; so be a bit selfish Mesut!

5. Walcott or Giroud?

Let’s not beat about the bush on this one; for now, Walcott is way ahead of Giroud.

6. On our day, we can beat any team!

Simply put!
