Skysport- pundit Jamie Redknapp tore into Arsenal at half time of Sunday’s clash against Brighton – but also heaped praise on the hosts.

The Gunners went two goals down in the first half of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Brighton.

Lewis Dunk scored the opener before striker Glenn Murray made it two with a header past Petr Cech, who was arguably at blame for both goals.

On Murray’s goal, Redknapp hit out at the way Arsenal gave the ball away in the build up and also for Cech’s role.

“From Arsenal’s point of view it’s comical defending,” the former Liverpool midfielder said.

“(Laurent) Koscielny receives the ball there, Jack Wilshere doesn’t really want it. He plays it into him but a bad pass.

“What I will say after that is that you have to compliment what Brighton do.

“It’s a good piece of play, (Pascal) Gross plays a ball in and it’s absolutely inch perfect.

“Yes you can say (Shkodran) Mustafi should get into a better position, but he has an opportunity, he sees his forward going to the back post, Glenn Murray, can you find him?

“Can you deliver the right cross? Absolutely, pinpoint accuracy.

“Good header, I think Petr Cech should save that if I’m honest. But the delivery is spot on, it really is good.”
