Arsenal have reportedly reignited their interest in Napoli’s defensive midfielder, Jorginho. The player has had a super start to the new season; and as per The Daily Mail, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger have begun to consider plotting a move for him as early as the next transfer window. It is believed that the price to secure his services may fly high after the world cup in Russia next year, so Wenger reportedly seeks to bring him in as soon as possible.

Speaking about interest from Arsenal, the player’s representative said in an interview with Radio Kiss recently: “Interest from Arsenal? It is true. After the game against Palermo, compliments arrived from Real Madrid as well. But just compliments, nothing more.” He also added: “It is pleasing to receive expressions of respect from one of the most prestigious club sides in the world.”

Arsenal’s crew have another good chance to watch him in action as Napoli lock horns with Manchester City on Wednesday night in the Champions’ league. It is believed that the player is being considered as an option to boost the defensive midfield compartment at the Emirates; and this is further confirmed by the fact that old boy Jack
Wilshere has so far refused offers of a new contract to commit himself at the club.

However, in order to price him away from Napoli, it is expected that Arsenal will be required to dig deep into their pockets.
