Report making the round claims Juventus are closing on a deal for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Szczesny has spent two seasons on loan at Roma and could return to Italian football this season.
According to reports in Italy, the Serie A champions are keen to bring the Poland international back to Italy this summer on a permanent basis.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato recently reported that the departure of Juve’s goalkeeper Neto has accelerated Szczesny’s move to Turin.
And the report says Juve are now working on a deal to bring Szczesny to the Allianz Stadium, having already agreed personal terms.
The 27-year-old is said to have settled on a £67,000-a-week deal and is poised to become Buffon’s replacement next season following his retirement.
Arsenal are said to have rejected the Italian club’s initial bid and have put a £13m price-tag on the former Legia Warsaw man.
However, CalcioMercato claim Juve are confident of getting the deal over the line and an agreement could be reached in the coming days.
Speaking in May, Szczesny suggested he could leave Arsenal this summer to prevent his career from stagnating.
“The one thing I want to do is make sure I don’t stay still,” he said.
“I am 27, the best I have ever been, I still have room to improve and I want to make sure that room doesn’t stay empty.
“I want to go into that room. It feels like a big moment.”
The Arsenal ‘keeper took to social media to show off his new goalkeeping gloves for the upcoming campaign, with the Serie A logo clearly visible on the football he is holding up.
