Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed his move in 2016 to Crystal Palace was the worst decision of his career at Selhurst Park and scoring only one goal.

The Togolese international currently plays for Turkish Super Lig side Medipol Basaksehir, has led a nomadic career, having played for AC Merlan Lome, FC Metz, AS Monaco, Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Palace.

“ Leaving England, where I played for ten years until last summer, was a difficult decision to make. I have had great moments with the clubs that are among the best in the country,” he said to L’Equipe, reports the Mirror.

“I was happy there, my family too. The only mistake I made was to sign at Crystal Palace in January 2016. I did it to please my entourage, who said to me: ‘Manu, you have to play again!’ This was the worst decision of my career.”
