Jack Wilshere has reportedly conceded that his Arsenal career is over after being left out of the squad on the opening day of the season.

Wilshere who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth has been put up for sale.

It was recently claimed that the midfielder is determined to fight for his future at the club but it appears he hasn’t done enough to convince Wenger to keep him.

West Ham and Sampdoria have been heavily linked with the midfielder already while Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are also said to be watching his situation closely. However, Newcastle have now joined the race for his signature.

According to the Sun via the Express, Rafa Benitez is keen on signing Wilshere and will now step up his efforts to sign the midfielder.

The former Liverpool boss is reportedly confident of signing the midfielder despite his club yet to do any business this summer.

Wilshere’s career at Arsenal was thrown into further doubt after he was left out of the starting xi against Leicester City on Friday.  Wenger tried to play down the situation by claiming the midfielder was missing because of injury but sources close to the player claimed otherwise.

“Jack is fit. He is raring to go but has not been included in the squad,” sources close to Wilshere said.

“Wenger told the public that he isn’t ready but Jack is feeling in top condition.”

Arsenal’s decision to sell Wilshere may not go down well with some supporters as he is a fan favorite and is regarded as the symbol of our prestigious academy. However, it won’t be surprising to some because injuries limited him to just 19 appearances for Arsenal in the Premier League since 2014
