Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud would be happy to leave Arsenal for Napoli, according to his agent.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that Arsenal are prepared to offer €60 + Olivier Giroud to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain. Giroud’s agent has now revealed that his client would have no problem moving to the Italian club should Arsenal tell him he is no longer needed at the Emirates.
The Gunners are believed to be interested in signing a top striker this summer which would see Giroud play a more reduced role in the club should he remain. However, it appears the player is open to an exit and his client Micheal Manuello claims the player has no fear leaving the Emirates.
“If he was asked to leave, then we would evaluate his options,” Manuello told Radio CRC, as quoted by Goal.
“There is no fear from Olivier about possibly going to Napoli: it is a magnificent city. In Campania, my client could lead a wonderful life.
“Not to mention that the type of game played by [coach Maurizio] Sarri could enhance the quality of a centre forward like him.”
He added: “Olivier is an Arsenal player. So far there has not been any communication [with Arsenal] or contact with Napoli. If Arsenal tell us to leave, then things change.”
