Arsene Wenger will again be without a host of players, as Le Prof take and his men take a short trip to the Stadium of Light for the Premier League clash with Sunderland in Saturday’s afternoon kick-off.
Szczezny will return to the middle of the sticks for Arsenal after being absent during the midweek’s Champions League clash with a suspension. Sending rookie 3rd choice Emiliano Martinez back to the queue as second choice for the match in the absence of David Ospina due an injury concern.
Calum Chambers will be available for selection after serving out his suspension last weekend. Meaning Hector Bellerin will most likely watch the game from the bench. though i would rather prefer drifting Chambers in the middle to pair with Per and have Bellerin start, but its now clear that Wenger is bent on converting Monreal to a centre defender – with the boss handing him a lot of game time in the middle with the clear intentions of getting him adapted to the position.
Wenger is also likely to hand one of his finest midfielders Aaron Ramsey a start in today’s game with the intention of getting him back to his best, after the star made a second half appearance last weekend against Hull City upon his timeout with injury.
Arteta and Campbell may also get the chance to make the starting line-up with the former returning from injury to replace Flamini while the latter has done incredible well so far this season even though he’s contributions so far in the Premier League has been from the bench. There’s a chance that the Costa Rican may get his prayer answered at long last.
Below is my predicted Arsenal line-up for the clash against Sunderland.
It is Expected that with this line up the Gooners should comfortably cruise to a 3-1 victory (my guess). going by the team’s current burst of confidence upfront. COYG!!!
