Arsenal could miss out on the signing of N’Golo Kante after Paris Saint Germain made their interest in the midfielder known, according to reports.

Kante has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates with some reports claiming the club have held talks with the player’s agent and Kante has indicated his interest in moving to the Emirates.

But Italian publication Tutto Mercato Web via the Daily Star claims PSG are seriously interested in the midfielder and are weighing up whether to activate his £20m buyout clause.

This will come as a massive blow to Arsenal who had been hoping to secure the services of the PFA nominee.

The French side are keen to strengthen their squad this summer as they attempt to go further in their Champions League challenge and they see Kante who has been one of the best midfielder in the Premier League as a quality addition.

Arsenal would have to rival the French side for Kante’s signature and the player is likely to have the final say later on should both clubs activate his release clause.

Leicester City are still hoping they can keep the enforcer beyond the current campaign but it is looking increasingly difficult as top clubs circle round the French international.

Kante joined Leicester City from Caen last summer and was superb for the Foxes as they marched on to win their first ever Premier League title.

£20m for the best holding midfielder in the premier league is just peanuts. Kante has indicated his interest in moving to the Emirates , then where is the problem ? if Arsenal are serous about signing the player they should activate his signing clause today before other clubs. and as the player himself expressed interest of moving to Arsenal then other clubs will lose out . But if Wenger continue to drag his feet in the transfer market as usual then Arsenal unnecessarily lose out . Yeas slreadyArsenal almost signed a world class central midfielder but for sure they will need more than one taking into consideration the history of injuries and the players exhaustion in the second half of the season. Wenger should have enough courage to sell the dead wood and replace them with world class players available now because next season will be too late.
