Arsenal star David Ospina could complete a move to Fenerbahce in the next couple of days, according to The Daily Star.
Ospina has reportedly been in talks with Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray for sometime and reports in Turkey today claim he is closing in on a move away from the Emirates.
Arsenal are expected to get £3.5m from the transfer while the player will earn around £2.6m yearly.
The Columbia shot stopper recently said he hasn’t made a decision on his future but hinted he would leave if he isn’t assured playing time.
“I haven’t made my decision yet,” he said, according to Sporx .
“I am waiting for Arsenal to decide, I’m on holiday and it should all be sorted by the the time it is over.
“If Arsenal are not going to give me the playing time I want they can loan me to another club.”
Playing time is the issue here and he won’t be able to get the amount of games he yearns for here. Hence a move away would be best for all parties.
It is expected that a move to Fenerbahce will now be completed next week.
Ospina joined Arsenal for £3.4m in 2014 but he has failed to secure the number one spot despite proving he is a top goalkeeper.
Losing a quality back up goalkeeper like him will not be easy to take but it was always going to be difficult to keep him here when Cech is still very much around.
Ospina featured in 14 games for Arsenal this term, with just two of those coming in the league. One can’t really blame him for wanting out.
