Former Arsenal midfielder Harvard Nordveit is set to return to the Premier League at the end of the season, his current club has confirmed but could he be set for a move to the Emirates?
Last month, it was reported that the Gunners were in talks with the player’s representative regarding a move back to the Emirates.
And now, according to fourfourtwo football, Borussia Monchengladbach has confirmed the midfielder will not be extending his stay at the German club and will be heading to England this summer.
The defensive midfielder joined Monchengladbach in 2010 for a fee of about £800,000 and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, he has decided to move back to England.
Wenger was unwilling to sell the midfielder in 2010 but was forced to do so as he believed the player deserved first team football which the club could not offer him at that time.
It is believed that Arsenal have been trying to reach a pre contract agreement with the midfielder since the club knew his contract was going to expire at the end of the season.
West Ham are now believed to be in driving seat in the race to sign the midfielder with Liverpool as well as Arsenal still very keen.
