Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make Olympic Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette it’s third signing of the summer following the capture of Granit Xhaka and Takuma Asano.

Lacazette has been seriously linked with a move to the Emirates in recent weeks and it appears the club is now keen on getting a deal done as soon as possible.

According to the Telegraph, Lyon are prepared to open talks with any interested club should a bid of £34.2m be submitted and Arsenal have now indicated it’s willingness in paying that amount in order to open negotiations with Lyon.

Although the Gunners are yet to submit a formal offer, Wenger has reportedly held talks with the player’s representative and it was revealed to the French tactician that Lyon are demanding a fee of £34.2m to open talks with any interested club.

West Ham are also keen on the striker but the French international has rejected a move to the East London club on several occasions.

It is believed the £34.2m is not a set fee for the player to be sold, hence the fee could rise higher depending on the outcome of negotiations between Lyon and Arsenal.

Lacazette appears to be very high on Wenger’s wish list. The Arsenal boss has prioritized signing a striker this summer and is working actively to sign one before the club travels to the United States for its preseason tour.
