Arsenal are currently in talks to sell four players before the transfer window closes, according to the Daily Star journalist Dharmesh Sheth via the Daily Cannon.
Wenger is working hard to get rid of the deadwoods but that hasn’t happened just yet because most of the players are refusing to take a pay-cut to complete a move away.
As many as eight players are expected to be sold this summer but so far, it is only Wojciech Szczesny who has left for Juventus.
According to Sheth, Jack Wilshere, Carl Jenkinson, Mathieu Debuchy and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain could be the next set of players to leave the club.
Wilshere, Jenkinson and Debuchy have been put up for sale by the club and Wenger wouldn’t have any problem allowing them leave. However, the issue here would be the potential exit of Chamberlain.
The Ox is gradually becoming a key part of the team but his future has been complicated by the fact that he has just one year left in his contract and is refusing to sign a new deal.
What’s making the Ox case even more annoying is that it is Chelsea who are pushing hardest to sign him. Arsenal are expected to receive around £35 should a deal happen but losing one of your promising players to a rival could be very dangerous.
