Arsenal have made an attempt to sign Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco, according to reports.
The Winger showed his quality in Saturday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid, netting his club’s equaliser and completing the highest number of successive dribbles on the pitch that night despite not playing the entire game.
Italian football expert Emanuele Giulianelli via the Daily Star now claims the Gunners have made an approach to sign Carrasco this summer.
The journalist added that the club was encouraged by Atletico Madrid’s response and it would cost about £15m to £19m to sign the Belgian.
Giulianelli revealed the information via his twitter handle saying:
“Arsenal asked Atletico Madrid to be allowed to make a bid for Carrasco. Atletico available to listen. About €20/25mln.”
Wenger’s sudden interest in Carrasco would come as a surprise to many but the French tactician experienced the Belgian’s danger two seasons ago when Carrasco helped AS Monaco eliminate the Gunners from the Champions League competition.

Carrasco made 43 appearances for Atletico this season scoring five goals in all competitions for Diego Simeone’s men.
