Tottenham “Ready To Invest” In Arsenal Sumer Star Target – Reports

Arsenal are set to battle its main rival off the pitch this summer as Tottenham are seriously interested in Arsenal target Umar Sadiq.

Sadiq, 19, is a Nigerian international who currently plies his trade at AS Roma in Italy. The 19 year old joined Roma on a season long loan from Serie B side Spezia. The striker has experienced something of a breakthrough season at Roma impressing for the club’s youth team and senior team as well.

His performances has not gone unnoticed as he is now attracting interest from a host of club’s across Europe including Arsenal and Tottenham.

Arsenal’s interest in the striker is no secret as it has been revealed that Wenger had a £10m bid rejected by Roma. It was claimed that Wenger had proposed paying the £10m in three installments against the wish of the Italian side.

Recent report from Il Messagerro via Sport Witness now claims Tottenham are ready to jump ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign Sadiq as Mauricio Pochettino’s men are ready to invest in the striker.

As Roma are ready to activate their option to buy the striker permanently at the end of the season and the Italian club could decide to sell the striker should they receive a large offer for the 19 year old.

Sadiq has scored two goals for Roma in less than 200 minutes of Serie A action and 19 goals in 18 games for the club’s youth team.
