Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has refused to rule out a switch to the Premier league next summer.
The former Barcelona boss avoided questions regarding his future at Bayern, saying there is still plenty of time before it becomes an issue.
According to reports in Germany, Bayern were hoping Guardiola would sign a new contract at the German club before their annual general meeting in November and the club is still hopeful that a deal will be announced before the meeting.
The former Barcelona boss declined to confirm that possibility at a press conference on Monday, saying that it is not yet the right time to discuss what will happen next season.
He said, “Please, it’s October. I have to continue winning games, because that’s what the fans want. I don’t talk about it every week.”.
Jose Mourinho is in a crucial week as the game against Liverpool in the weekend is most likely going to determine his future at Chelsea.
Arsenal are rumoured to be targeting the Spaniard to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium.
Man City on the other hand have told manager Manuel Pellegrini that he must deliver trophies this season or risk being sacked by the club, and thus the club are also monitoring Guardiola situation at Munich with an intent to bring him to the Premier League.
Guardiola has won league titles in Spain with Barcelona and in Germany with Bayern Munich. The 44 year old will be keen to test himself in England when he decides to leave Germany.
