Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has declared midfielder Isco available and is ready to entertain offers for player.
Spanish newspaper El Confidencial had disclosed Arsene Wenger tried to sign the playmaker this winter but the gaffer will have to wait till the summer to land his man as Madrid are against letting him leave midway through the season.
The same paper via the Independent has now revealed that should the Gunners retain an interest in the player come the summer, the Spanish International would be to be available for £25m if they wish to sign him, although they will face heavy competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City should they follow up their interest with an official offer.
However, the issue for the Gunners is that Isco previously played under current City manager Manuel Pellegrini during their time together at Malaga , and the lure of a possible link-up with Spanish tactician Pep Guardiola – who is expected to takeover at City in the summer – could persuade him to move to the Etihad over the Emirates.
Despite starting 12 of Real’s 21 La Liga matches thus far, the player’s agent has hinted at his client’s unhappiness at the Bernabau and believes he is at a stage where he should be playing every week.
The player arrived from Malaga for €30 million three years ago has failed to break into the first team at the Bernabau.
A move to the Emirates will see the 23-year old line up alongside Mesut Ozil, the man he was initially signed to replace at Real Madrid.
