Jack Wilshere wants to join West Ham after being told by Arsenal he can find a new club, according to the Daily Cannon.
Yesterday, reports claimed Arsenal do not have any intention of offering Wilshere whose contract expires next summer a new deal and are open to a sale if the price is right.
A bid of £6m was recently rejected from Sampdoria for the midfielder, with reports claiming Arsenal are holding for a lot more than that.
West Ham are now showing serious interest in Wilshere who was a member of their academy before he move to North London.
According to the report, Arsenal have placed a £20m price tag on the midfielder and will also look to include a buy back clause in any potential deal.
After spending last season on loan, it isn’t entirely surprising that Wilshere is open to a permanent exit away from Arsenal but what is surprising is the club’s intention to sell him.
Injuries aside, the midfielder is a top player and will be a massive asset if he manages to put his troubles behind him. I know he doesn’t look like doing that at the moment but do you think Arsenal are right to give up on him now?
For me, Arsenal should offer him a new deal and send him out on loan for one more season before deciding to sell him.
That way, we will be in a strong negotiating position if we then decide to sell because some clubs may not even want to pay the £20m we are demanding now and would radar wait to sign him for free next year.
