The new Gunners boss Unai Emery has been quick to ensure his team are working hard to secure his desired transfer targets before the new season begins.
According to Turkish-Football, Emery is keen to sign Soyuncu’s countryman Yusuf Yazici this summer.
The Trabzonspor playmaker was previously tipped with a move to Arsenal under Arsene Wenger’s tenure.
But the Turkish publication reports that scouts have been to assess Yazici over his last two international fixtures.
The 21-year-old featured in the 2-1 win over Iran and the 2-2 draw with Tunisia this week.
However, Trabzonspor have slapped a £17.5m price tag on the rising star.
It is believed club president Ahmet Agaoglu would prefer to retain Yazici for at least another season.
The star’s agent Erkut Sogut also recently confirmed that there had been significant interest from around Europe.
“He was born in 1997, he was selected among UEFA’s 50 most promising players. He is ahead of Cengiz Under, half of Europe is interested in Yusuf,” he said.
“He is the most promising youngster in Turkey, he scored 10 goals in the league this season.
“His technique is brilliant, we have offers from Italy, from the Premier League, from Germany and Spain.”
On top of his 10 goals last term, Yazici also assisted five more.
