Walcott OUT As Arsenal Step Up Interest To Sign This 72 Goals Powerhouse Striker

Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.

Arsenal’s search for a striker has led them to a Premier League rival, and this time its Watford, with Arsenal reportedly set to sign their skipper Troy Deeney for £20 million.

Wenger is reportedly a fan of the “Powerhouse striker” who is known more for his battling nature than skills. He alongside the impressive Odion Ighalo have notched up 20 Premier league goals for the Hornets, with Deeney scoring 6 in 11 appearances.

With experience in various levels of English football, the former Walsall man has proved that he can hold his own at the top level, and as such has attracted the interest of Arsenal.

Troy Deeney boasts an impressive scoring record with 72 goals for Watford in three and a half seasons, leading them up from the Championship into the Premier League.

The striker however signed a new five-year deal with Watford earlier this season, and would not be easily available, with Watford obviously keen on keeping their Captain. But £20 million would be enough to tempt Watford to part with him.
