West Ham United are considering making a move for Theo Walcott, according to reports.
Walcott is reportedly frustrated with his situation at the Emirates and the Hammers could make a move for the England international.
The 28 year old fell out of Arsene Wenger’s starting xi after the tactical switch to a 3-4-3 formation and Walcott is unsure of his position in the team going into next season.
The Mirror recently suggested Walcott could seek for pastures elsewhere in a bid to put himself in contention for making the England 2018 World Cup squad.
The same publication now claims West Ham could offer the winger the chance of playing regularly by making a move for him before the transfer window ends.
It is believed that Slaven Bilic is prepared to spend up to £25m to sign Walcott, which from Arsenal’s perspective is a good fee for a player who isn’t playing regularly.
West Ham have also been linked with another £25m move for Olivier Giroud in recent weeks and a move for Walcott could see the Hammers spend around £50m on the duo.
Walcott is more likely to join the Hammers, Wenger recently hinted on keeping Giroud but Walcott’s situation is a bit different, he may not find a place in the team next season if Wenger persists with the formation which proved successful towards the end of last season.
