Arsenal travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford in Premier League’s Saturday evening-time kick-off.
In his Thursday lunchtime press conference, Arsene Wenger conceded he had yet to assess Alexis Sanchez, who was arriving back late from international duties with Chile.
Laurent Koscielny is set for a late fitness test but with a Champions League clash against Bayern Munich to follow in midweek, the Gunners boss seems unlikely to risk him and stick with Gabriel and Per Mertesacker at centre-half.
Elsewhere in defence, Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu Debuchy offer alternatives to regular full-back pair Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin.
Up top, Theo Walcott looks in line for a sixth successive start, though Olivier Giroud staked a claim for more minutes by netting twice for France against Denmark last Sunday. The Frenchman and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are more likely to earn pitch time off the bench, with Aaron Ramsey retaining the right flank berth.
Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta have returned to full training and are available should Wenger rotate in the centre of the park, though Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere remain on the sidelines through injury.
Having said this, here is I expect Wenger to line-up his side against Watford.
