Arsene Wenger and his men will take a short trip down to the West Midlands To take on the Baggies in Saturday’s English Premier League lunch time kick-off.
And although Alan Irvine’s side seat at the 13th position on the Premier League table, five positions below the Gunners at 8th, many are still expecting the clash at the Harwthorns to be a very tricky one for the Gunners following a string of dissapointing performances by the North Londoners lately.
Another cause for worry for the Gunners is the never-ending injury crisis that has since the start of the season eaten deep into Wenger’s squad. Bringing into question Arsenal’s chances of ending the season with a silverware. While some have called for the resignation of the veteran French Boss, labelling him as rigid and dogmatic in his approach to modern-day football.
Even with the increasing crippling of the squad with a quartet of injuries suffered by players in the last 7 days, there has not been an Arsenal performance without positive attacking displays, especially from Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Both players, together with Mertesacker, Chambers and Kieran Gibbs have been in every Arsenal team from the start since the win at the Stadium of Light in mid-October – a set of players who we might say have formed the core of the Arsenal team this season.
Despite Wenger’s short in numbers to his squad, here is how the boss is expected to line-up his side this against WBA.
