Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are in need of another striker and they have decided to make a move for Watford in-form striker Odion Jude Ighalo, according to reports.
Ighalo has been in red hot form for Watford this season; scoring 14 goals for the Hornets in the league from 20 appearances.
The striker has emerged as a surprise transfer target as Gunners scouts believes that the Nigerian scoring sensation fits the bill to represent the Gunners. Olivier Giroud is the only out-in-out striker that the Gunners currently have and would love to add another striker to help with the goal scoring responsibility.
The Gunners are also looking at other strikers that could probably help their course. Newly crowned African player of the year; Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is in Arsenal’s radar but the Borrusia Dortmund striker would not come in cheap; a bid of over £55 Million would be required to secure his services while Arsenal are also tracking former Manchester United striker, Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen.
Ighalo seem to be the easiest of the trio to acquire, Watford would cash in on him if the right bid is placed. Reports also emerged that Ighalo’s striker partner; Troy Deeney is also an option for the Gunners
