Unai Emery is planning personal talks with Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere to convince both players to commit their futures to Arsenal.
The new Gunners boss is an admirer of the long-serving midfielders and keen to get both men on board for next season.
Arsenal have offered Ramsey, 27, a lucrative new five-year deal in a bid to convince him to stay as he enters the final year of his contract.
While 26-year-old Wilshere will become a free agent when his current deal expires next month.
As Sunsport revealed this month, the club are determined not to allow Ramsey to enter the final year of his contract and will look to sell him this summer if no agreement can be reached.
But Emery is eager to avoid that scenario and wants face to face talks with the Welsh international to stress how important he is to his long-term plans for the team.
Ramsey, recently voted the club’s Player of the Season, had been hedging his bets until he knew who was going to be replacing Arsene Wenger as manager.
He has been impressed by the appointment of former Seville and PSG boss Emery but is not going to sell himself short financially.
He currently earns around £100,000-a-week and would expect double that figure after seeing the details of the contracts recently signed by Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Obameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Wilshere has already rejected a contract which would involve a 25 per cent pay cut and is not convinced by last month’s slightly improved offer.
