Jack Wilshere prefers to join West Ham United this summer as Arsenal consider several offers for the midfielder.
The 25 year old is reportedly up for sale this summer as Wenger looks to get him off the club’s books.
The one time fan favorite has struggled with injuries since 2014 and with his contract expiring next summer, Arsenal believe this is the perfect time for him to move on.
As expected, a player of Wilshere’s quality wouldn’t be short of offers and the midfielder is attracting them from clubs both home and abroad.
However, the Independent claim Wilshere wants to remain in London.
His preference is to return to his boyhood club West Ham.
The troubled playmaker spent part of his youth career at the Hammers and is keen to return there. West Ham are also open to signing him but are yet to make an official approach.
Wilshere’s exit is being complicated by his poor injury record. He is expected to cost his suitors more than £20m and most are mindful of paying that much for a player who is currently recovering from a leg injury.
He spent last season on loan at Bournemouth but Howe opted against making the move permanent because of the same reason Arsenal are looking to sell him.
