Arsene Wenger believes “Fans Factor” could come into play if he is to be offered a new deal at the club or not.

The French man who has experienced some sections of the club’s fans protest against him this season believes the fans actions could be taken into consideration if the club were to offer him a new deal.

Reports surfaced days back that the French man will be offered a two year deal this summer but the manager has revealed he will wait very late before entering into negotiations regarding a new deal.

However, the Frenchman stressed that the level of support from the fans would be a key factor when making his decision.

“Yes [it could]. What you want is your supporters to be happy,” Wenger said, as quoted by ESPN.

“That’s why you work very hard.”

The manager also went further to say the final decision will be taken by the club’s hierarchy.

“It’s not about me, it’s about the club. My worry is just to serve the club as well as I can, and after to see where I stand and where the club is,” Wenger said. “I think I have to forget about myself, even if people who want to create some unrest don’t. But I will give absolutely my best to do well next season. And after that, we’ll see.”

“My appetite is stronger than ever,” he said. “But I am a professional man, who respects his contract and gives his best until the last day of his contract. That can be one year, two years, three years, it doesn’t change. So even if I decide in January that I will not extend my contract, that will not change my attitude.”

Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal since the summer of 1996 but a run of 12 years without a league trophy has seen the French man receive criticism from the club’s supporters.
