Stoke City have joined the race to sign Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, according to reports.
The Ox has reportedly told Arsenal he won’t sign the new deal he has been offered, prompting reports linking him with a move away.
With just one year left on the winger’s contract, Arsenal are at risk of losing him for nothing next summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal.
The latest round of negotiations between Chamberlain and Arsenal held last week but both parties couldn’t reach an agreement.
Chelsea were then tipped to step up their interest in the winger but they now have a rival for his services.
According to the Sun via the Daily Cannon, Stoke City are also interested in signing the winger.
Mark Hughes who is keen to strengthen his squad is also hoping to take advantage of Chamberlain’s situation.
However, Arsenal have no intention of selling the winger and are determined to hold on to him for next season.
When asked if there is any chance of Chamberlain remaining at Arsenal this summer, Wenger confidently said:
“Yes. 100 per cent, I expect him to stay. No matter the speculation, he will stay.”
