Arsenal completed the signing of Jeff Reine-Adelaide from RC Lens earlier this summer in a double deal which included his teammate Yassin Fortune for a fee of £3million according to the Telegraph.
While central midfielder Fortune has been working with the youth team, Wenger has revealed that Reine-Adelaide will be part of the first team this pre-season.
The Pacy forward who is better known for his finishing has already trained with the first team and is in the squad to Singapore for the Barclays Asian cup.
Wenger stated on Arsenal’s website that: “You will see Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who we just brought in”.
With the departure of Lukas Podolski and Ryo Miyiachi permanently, there might be an opening for the youngster on the left flank as Wenger hinted.
“He’s an offensive player but he can develop into an all-round midfielder as well. At the moment he plays on the right or left but I think he can develop as a central midfielder as well.”
Jeff Reine-Adelaide has won the UEFA u17 Championship with France, and is tipped to make it to the top at Arsenal.
