Earlier this month, Arsenal where reported to have entered the race for exciting 23-year-old League 1 hitman.
The Gunners where reported as the latest Premier League side to join in the chase for Bournemouth’s star striker Callum Wilson, with other sides such as Tottenham and Southampton.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger while speaking to Arsenal Player ahead of this weekend’s clash with West Brom stylishly confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Wilson by saying the club looks at all the players but not especially Wilson
“We look at all the players but we are not looking especially at Callum Wilson”
The boss went further saying: “I don’t want to single out people but discretion is the best way to deal with things because once it goes public it is very difficult to master and you have so many opinions. I can understand the media is interested in that but for us it always adds difficulties once it’s public.”
Wilson has been an integral part of Bournemouth’s promotion-winning season, with the striker racking in an impressive 23 goals and 8 assists this season.
The England U21 international has drawn vast attention from Premier League clubs due to his form this season and now looks destined to ply his trade among the big boys next season.
