Arsene Wenger is confident that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will sign new deals at the club this summer, via Ibtimes.
The duo are being linked with a move away from the club but Wenger is adamant the duo won’t be leaving this summer.
Ozil is being linked with a move back to La Liga with Barcelona reportedly monitoring the German international while Sanchez has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
Despite those reports, Wenger claims the club are in talks with both players regarding a new deal and also added that the duo are very keen to stay at the club.
Speaking before the game against West Brom on Wednesday, the French man said:
“These two players have two years on their contracts at the end of the season. We are not in a hurry. We are talking and the players are very keen to stay,” he said.
Ozil is a very important member of the Gunners squad, the German already has six goals to his name this season and is currently leading the assist chart in the Premier League with 18 assists and he is on the verge of breaking the record for the most assist in the league currently held by Thierry Henry.
Along with Ozil, Sanchez is another key man in the squad scoring two goals against West Brom on Thursday night as he helped the club secure its sixth win in 2016.
